Honduras Child Alliance first launched its programs in response to an awareness of the lack of education, sustaining poverty.
To cope with this complex situation, programs include: English and Spanish literacy, computer science, arts, introduction to science, sports, group work, and conflict resolution.
Volunteers participate in fun and educational activities during the day with children who are not in class. Other duties include teaching English and to assist the Spanish literacy classes.
Participation in programs to fight against malnutrition. The volunteer will be in support of the nutrition manager to organize the schedule of snacks of the week and ensure the smooth running.
The volunteers participate with the association of administrators in activities related to the promotion of Honduras Child Alliance to the final beneficiaries, institutions of the region and the network of the association.
Training: No specific training is required. A diversity of professional and educational backgrounds can enhance the richness of the group.
Languages: A good level of English is necessary. A basic level of Spanish is recommended but not required.
