Description of the partner

Multicorps was founded in 2008 by Marcel Gbeffa, a professional dancer and choreographer, with the aim of promoting the immense diversity of living art in Benin. The association works in Benin to train, create and promote contemporary dance among amateur dancers (children and adults) and dance professionals, notably through performances and various events. The aim is to pass on its passion and give new energy to contemporary dance in Benin and Africa. To achieve its objectives, the Multicorps association has had a Choreography Centre since 2011.

Located in the heart of Benin’s economic capital, the Multicorps centre is a cultural and creative third place with real added value in the urban jungle of Cotonou. Open to all, its aim is to promote a spirit of initiative, creativity and positive action among young people in the surrounding neighbourhoods and local artists. The centre aims to create connections and strengthen artistic links in Benin and around the world. Locally, it aims to work towards harmony and individual fulfilment through dance.
