Description of the partner

AIME is an NGO founded in 2009 with the aim of promoting citizen involvement in the service of solidarity, sustainable and inclusive development.

The association offers everyone the chance to get involved with meaningful associations and projects on long-term assignments in France and around the world. We have nearly 50 partner associations working to provide inclusive access to education, protect the environment and biodiversity, integrate refugees into their host society, promote culture and the arts, and more.

The assignment is exclusively a Civic Service, lasting 6 months.

The mission

The aim of the assignment is to help make Civic Service accessible to everyone, and to discover and promote the world of solidarity and civic commitment through the following activities :

Carrying out volunteer assignments (⅔):

• Signing up for voluntary work according to your wishes and interests (in pairs or groups of three).
• Taking part in a number of volunteering assignments (one-off or regular) in various organisations to discover the different types of commitment in relation to solidarity, the environment, education, culture and social links, migration and any other theme with a positive impact on society.
• Developing the knowledge and skills required during workshops, meetings and regular reviews

Taking part in workshops on commitment (⅓):

• Participation in participative workshops around the different themes of commitment (solidarity, education, environment, sport, culture, leisure, humanitarian aid etc.).
• Understanding the importance and impact of the actions undertaken through debates and discussions
• Preparing your future project and personal development through the solidarity activities carried out throughout the assignment.

Candidate profile

Training:

No training, specific skills or previous professional or voluntary experience can be required. Motivation is the only criterion that should really be taken into account in the context of Civic Service.
