Description of the partner
The Alliance française de Malte-Méditerranée has been promoting French culture and language in Malta for over 60 years. Over 400 students a year are trained at our centre to high educational standards. The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée traces its roots back to 1946, when the Cercle des Amis de la Culture Française was formed at the University of Malta. The Cercle became the Alliance Française in 1959. As a language centre, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is the only centre accredited in Malta for the DELF and DALF examinations, the TEF and other certificates from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and La Sorbonne Nouvelle.
The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée is also a cultural centre which organises events throughout the year, such as the Journées du Film Français, the Beaujolais Nouveau tasting, the Bir-Miftuh festival and many others. The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée also offers various training opportunities for teachers of French in Malta and Gozo.
