Description of the partner

Village Français is a Ghanaian volunteer structure created to connect and empower young people through the promotion of multilingualism, interculturality and international solidarity in order to create a positive and lasting impact.

Village Français is therefore committed to fostering the circulation of people and ideas through international exchanges by oering national and international volunteering opportunities to foster mutual understanding and global peace.

Our actions focus on language teaching and interculturality, youth and the emergence of new technologies, environmental protection and climate change, agroecology and sustainable community development. For example, we can organize spelling contests and film screenings.

The mission

During their Civic Service, volunteers will carry out the following missions:

  • Implementation of creative, cultural and linguistic activities to arouse interest and practice the French language (poems, games, recitations, songs)
  • Promote reading among young people
  • Lead thematic discussion sessions with young people from partner schools
  • Create French Cultural Clubs (CCF) within partner schools to sustain activities
  • Participate in the organization of “Eppelle-moi Ghana” the French spelling bee inter-school competitions.
  • Creative and innovative After-School Program: Cultural activities, ICT…
  • Participate in Activities carried out by Village Français
  • Education about environmental protection, climate action, reforestation, growing seedlings, clean up exercise, ecological gardening,
Candidate profile

Training :

No training, specific skills, prior professional or volunteer experience can be required. Motivation is the only criterion that must really be taken into account in the context of Civic Service.

Profile required :

Good adaptability and an interest in education. A good level of English and good teaching skills will be required.
