Description of the partner

The association federates higher education and research establishments (ESR) and aims to welcome and support students, teachers and researchers in exile in French higher education establishments, and more specifically to :

  • Promote and support their information, orientation, enrolment and resumption of studies, learning French, validation of levels and diplomas,
    and, in general, facilitate their social and administrative support;
  • Defend their rights to ensure optimal living and studying conditions.
    Encourage forward-looking, critical thinking on migration issues;
  • Promote international initiatives to enable training, integration and mobility for students and researchers in exile.
The mission

MEnS volunteers carry out the following activities, in support of local team members:

Accompanying students

  • Support in managing the contact email address, in order to respond to requests from students in exile and direct them to the appropriate contacts
  • Participation in student surveys (focus groups, interviews, etc.)

Communication and advocacy

  • Helped create and manage the association’s LinkedIn and Twitter pages
  • Participation in the production of the network’s quarterly newsletter, for which the volunteer will conduct interviews with exiled Passerelle students.
  • Support for the creation of visual tools such as flyers, posters, elements of the activity report (training on the Canva tool will be provided).
  • Monitoring news and events concerning exiled people
  • Help in developing solutions and proposals relevant to the needs of exiled students

Events and networking

  • Participation in training programs for network members and organization of events (national meetings, seminars, forums)
  • Support for the organization of a European forum in 2023

Depending on the volunteer’s skills, he/she may be mobilized for specific projects.

The mission is exclusively a Civic Service assignment, lasting 8 months.

 

Candidate profile

Training :

No training, specific skills, prior professional or volunteer experience can be required. Motivation is the only criterion that should really be taken into account in the context of Civic Service.
