Description of the partner

Or Périph is a committed media that highlights solidarity initiatives in the Paris region. Or Périph uses grassroots journalism to give a voice to those fighting to build a more open and peaceful society.

Its aim is to change the way people look at the Paris suburbs, to raise the profile of the area and to promote citizen action.

The assignment comes at a time when we are launching new video formats for our online media to highlight projects of general interest in the Paris region.

The mission

Volunteers carry out the following activities, in support of team members:

• Support journalists and directors on shoots
• Participate in the life of the editorial team (suggest subject ideas)
• Document editorial life on social networks
• Offer a fresh perspective on the media’s activities (propose new content on social networks and reports ideas).
• Propose a long-term project (to be carried out over 6 months) at the initiative of the volunteer

Volunteers will be trained in the following areas :

• Learning the basics of journalism
• Learning the basics of producing content for social networks
• Learning the basics of filming with a professional camera
• Learn the basics of video editing

Candidate profile

Training :

No training, special skills, prior professional or volunteer experience can be required.

The only prerequisite is motivation and the desire to work for a committed video media.
