Description of the partner

SINGA is an international citizens’ movement that emerged in 2012. The association promotes the emergence of spaces and tools for meeting, exchanging and collaborating between refugees and their host society, in order to encourage people to live together.

SINGA is an association whose aim is to provide solutions to the issues raised by the socio-economic integration of statutory refugees in France. SINGA aims to raise civil society’s awareness of the issues and benefits of asylum by encouraging exchanges, cooperation and collaboration between the host society and refugees, particularly through the use of new information and communication technologies.

The mission
  • Encourage the creation of links between refugees and the residents of Stuttgart/Bochum by proposing meeting initiatives (creation of meeting spaces).
  • Helping to mobilise members of the Singa community around proposed events to create encounters.
  • Participating in the preparation of workshops organised by members of the community to bring people together (CV workshops, cooking, picnics, yoga, cultural outings, football games, entrepreneurship workshops, etc.).
  • Taking part in the “Buddies” programme, which brings together pairs of refugees and members of civil society who share common passions (with the aim of learning the country’s cultural codes and language through informal exchanges).
  • Support the awareness and coordination of our community of entrepreneurs.
