Description of the partner
Mayaa Nepal’s mission is to ensure that disadvantaged children have access to quality education and comprehensive support through various programmes and partnerships.
Working closely with local schools, the NGO sponsors and supervises the education of 280 children. Two crèches have been set up to provide a safe and healthy environment for the youngest children while their parents work and the older children attend school. The results and the children’s attendance at school are closely monitored by the organisation’s social workers.
At the same time, Mayaa Nepal organises monthly medical check-ups for the children and their parents, as well as various educational programmes on issues such as hygiene, nutrition, addictions, budget management and family planning. Mayaa Nepal’s actions aim to create lasting change.
