Description of the partner

Peru has one of the greatest diversity of primate species in the world, unfortunately, many are in danger of extinction. It was in response to this observation that the Neotropical Primate Conservation association was founded in 2014 by a group of students who shared the same passion for conservation. Today, NPC implements scientific research activities (on primates, their habitats and sympatric species), reforestation of native trees and environmental education. The association also works for the sustainable social and economic development of local communities, with which it is collaborating in the creation and management of reserves.

The NPC also actively combats the illegal wildlife trade and helps to care for and relocate animals rescued from trafficking.
