Ryan’s Testimony at Li Ch’utam
A few weeks ago, thanks to AIME, I had the chance to do a Civic Service mission in Guatemala with Li Ch’utam. The duration of my mission was 6 months, which was the perfect amount of time to immerse myself in the culture, get to know the surroundings, and develop relationships with the locals. Before embarking on this adventure, I couldn’t have imagined that it would be such an enriching experience. Getting out of my little comfort zone for 6 months allowed me to appreciate the small pleasures of life so much more. I was free to do projects that were important to me alongside the children I worked with and I am extremely proud of the result. I felt truly useful, as I was able to bring joy to the children and help them learn and discover new things, and to me that’s magic.
Like everywhere, there were ups and downs, but I left with unique memories that I will never forget, the smile of the children, the laughter, the moments of conviviality, the new flavors, the unique landscapes of Guatemala and many other indescribable sensations. I wish everyone had the opportunity to live an experience like this, and I’m happy to share with you some of my favorite photos from this incredible journey.
Thank you very much Ryan for the pictures and your testimony <3
